The Latest UK Learning Trends Survey Now Published

The results of the third (July 2011) GoodPractice UK Learning
Trends Index are now in. The survey aims to help learning and
development professionals stay up-to-date with the state of their
industry and the key issues their peers are facing.
The key trends emerging from the third survey show improved
stability across the UK learning and development industry. Learning
Managers say that overall investment in L&D, staffing levels
and the range of learning services provided are all predicted to
remain unchanged over the coming six months. For UK L&D, the
third survey shows that the crisis phase of dramatic cost reduction
and streamlining is now coming to an end, and indicates a welcome
return to a more stable position.
You can
download a copy of the full report now. The
GoodPractice UK Learning Trends Index will be published every six
months, with the next survey running in November 2011.

Aspire4Africa Announce New Learning and Leadership
Programme
Eden Tree and GoodPractice are delighted to, once
again, support Aspire4Africa's (formerly known as Business for
Africa) Learning and Leadership Programme.
A joint initiative from PeopleMatters, Napier University's
Business School and Investors in People Scotland,
the programme offers participants a unique opportunity to test and
develop their capabilities in a setting they are unlikely to have
been experienced before - on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river,
in the shadow of Mount Kenya.
The next programme, focussing on the leader as coach, will run
over ten days from 8 October. The basic cost is less than the
average 4-day executive development programme.
More details can be found on this information PDF, but if
you would like to discuss the Programme informally, you can contact
Shona Mitchell, founder of PeopleMatters at shona@peoplematters.co.uk.
Eden Tree TV is Here
It seems like
the entire world is armed with a Flip cam or is making the most of
the cameras on their mobile phones. So, we thought we would get in
on the act and unleash our inner Steven Spielberg. And, with that,
we are proud to announce the launch of Eden Tree
TV on YouTube.
Our first broadcasts give a general introduction to the site,
and show you how to get the best of its many functions and
features. We're planning more broadcasts soon ... so watch this
space. We'd also love your feedback, so please do let us know what
you think.
